"Every tree cleared, every fence post set, every fish tank filled — by hand."
Table Greens is the result of years of dreaming and months of doing. Starting with 20+ acres of mostly wooded land, we set out to build a homestead that doesn't just sustain itself — it thrives, produces abundantly, and welcomes others in.
The property sits 80% in mature woodland and 20% in open pasture. That ratio isn't a limitation — it's a gift. The trees provide firewood, lumber, shade for animals, wind protection for crops, and habitat for wildlife. The open land feeds our rotating herds of goats, cattle, and pigs.
The full homestead vision is ambitious: a working farm stand at the front of the property, an aquaponic system with grow troughs and trout-style raceways, a natural swimming pool with sand beach entry, an outdoor kitchen and firepit area, a custom cold storage and dry-aging room, a butcher station, equipment barn, and an on-site sawmill for milling our own lumber.
Inside the home, everything is modern and comfortable. The contrast of raw, working land outside and a well-designed living space inside is exactly the point. This is regenerative homesteading for the 21st century.
We put more back into the land than we take out. Rotational grazing, composting, aquaponic water recycling, and food forest design are all part of a system that improves each year.
Every animal on this homestead lives a real life — outdoors, on pasture, with purpose. Our livestock guardian dogs protect the herds. Our cats keep rodents in check. Everything has a role.
The homesteading knowledge we share freely here exists because others shared before us. We write detailed guides, publish real build costs, and share our failures as honestly as our successes.
